INPI Launches the “1st IP in Schools Award” for Teachers and School Administrators

At an online event held on Monday, October 18, the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI) launched the 1st IP in Schools Award, aimed at promoting the inclusion of Intellectual Property (IP) in private and public education networks at the federal, state, and municipal levels. Participants may compete in five categories: Creativity (education for innovation and artistic production); Citizenship (education for a culture of respect for creation); Technology (education for science and innovation); Planet (education for the sustainable and innovative use of natural resources); and Business (education for entrepreneurship).

The Award is aligned with Brazil’s National Intellectual Property Strategy (ENPI), particularly its objective of implementing initiatives to raise students’ awareness of the importance of intellectual property in everyday life:
